Instructions
Today, 10 of December, I observed four lessons, with 3rd grades, who usually have six English classes a week. In the first two classes were twelve students, seven girls and five boys, and in the second class fourteen students, five boys and nine girls. The last class I observed today has eight students , three girls and five boys.
The aim of the lesson was to learn how structure a text and build a short paragraph with “because”, as well as do review grammar and vocabulary from the unit, and the knowledge about healthy food.
Topic of the lessons was, Tomatoes are great, and what is important for good health.

If teacher wants to explain group work activities, she usually use a rough tune language explaining logically the instructions in the way she makes sure that all the students understood them, she does even use body language in the way even less active students would understand her instructions.
For explaining the new Ideas or new words she draws pictures on the blackboard, and used mother language for keyword if the students don’t get some certain point.
| Christmas tree in every class :) |
Teacher also get acknowledgement ICQS from the students to make sure that they understood her instructions. She asks them for example to underline certain words, or start writing a paragraph using certain words.Usually students start working immediately, and for some activities, when some students have a doubt about something , they just raise their hand to ask.
Last but not least, I would like to mention that the teacher during my observation lessons wasn’t off topic, or saying personal anecdotes, the most common instructions teacher use, are used for organizing the classroom, attendance, ending the lesson, encouraging students, managing group work, handing materials, controlling discipline, and organizing work.
Thank you for taking your time to read my blog. J
