Santa Claus enters the school playground
Before I start with my blog details, Kids from primary classes, their teachers, and the headmasters of the school were celebrating the Christmas with Santa Claus in the school playground.
The atmosphere was great and everyone there enjoyed the Charismas party. The kids were so excited and they listened carefully to what Santa said and behaved well.
I observed 3rd grade classes, 12, 11 and 9 students each, who have English lessons six times a week.
Too and enough in use.
The main aims of the first two lessons were learning the structure with “too” and “enough” and using odd/even numbers, giving structure about health.
The topic of the first two lessons were big enough, enough, have you slept enough today, too old, too small. Odd: 1, 2, 3 event: 2, 4, 6.

Teacher firstly explained the meaning of “too” and “enough” for the students and how they could use these words by telling them numerous examples, then the teacher picks students randomly to use these words in a good example.
After that, students were reading sentences from the course book, which included these two words, and the teacher was writing them on the blackboard.
The teacher was helping the students to cut one page of the cookbook , which contained pictures, and cut each picture separately in order for the students to complete sentences, besides learning about odd and even numbers.
The teacher started workgroup and sat with the students to help them in instruct to use sentences in the way that they can use pictures, odd/even numbers, “too” and “enough”.
The aims of the third lesson which I conducted today was about teaching students the sounds of some new words such as know, whole, knee, camera, and distinguish the sounds of ee , ea , e-e.
The topic was to listen and read,” Are you playing enough computer game? “

The teacher picked the students randomly to read the textbook aloud. When I asked her about the reason, she said that we could work on their pronunciation while they are concentrating on reading, staying within their comfort zone, and practice their pronunciation without the stress factor that would occur in case of free practice.
In my opinion, making the students reading aloud is a straight way for the teacher to get the acknowledgement of pronunciation.
During the reading process, I have noticed that some students faced difficulties in pronouncing some words such as whole, important, exercise and enough.

Fix look and write
The teacher explains the sounds of some words.
After the students finished with their first exercise, the teacher asked them to underline ee, ea, and e-e in their course book and pronounce these words.
She wrote the sounds of these letters on the blackboard, after that, students watched a short video, which was related to the sound of the letters, they fix other exercises that teacher provided on the PC.
Pupils usually do not follow g a certain procedure for entering the classroom because they usually stay in the class, and when the teacher enters, students do not notice her appearance, but when she starts speaking, class becomes quiet, sometimes she has to use “shshs h ”, okay, look at me, or 1, 2, 3 as an attention catch for the pupils.

Extra exercises
If the students arrive late to the class, they usually say sorry. During my observation time, students were behaving well and politely, they raised their hands up if they wanted to answer questions during their interaction with the teacher.
The active students usually finish their work earlier than the less active students, so they either get extra activities to do or are helping other students.
The school doesn't have a homework policy, but when students do not finish activities on time during the class, they have to finish it at the break or at home.
The teacher ends her lesson with summing up. Thank you for the lesson.
I would like to thank you too for taking the time to read my blog!
